E-Learning Mini Modules


An E-Learning Module is an interactive, mini training that lasts about 10 minutes.  It’s specific to frequently asked questions we receive.  They are designed for parents to be able to get an immediate answer to a pressing question.

 

What do you do when the school calls to pick up your child?

This mini e-module is an overview of what to do when the school calls you to pick up your child.  If your child is not sick or being suspended, the school should not call you to pick up your child because they are having a bad day.  This mini e-module will give you tips on how you should respond if you get the call to come pick up your child.  The session starts with a short survey and ends with an evaluation.

What transportation services are available to my child with a disability?

This mini e-module is an overview of transportation services available to students with disabilities. Transportation services are part of your child’s IEP and need to be unique to your child’s unique needs.  Transportation includes to and from school, field trips, and extracurricular activities.  It includes extra safety measures, staffing, and accessibility.  This mini e-module will inform you of the transportation options available to students with disabilities.  The session starts with a short survey and ends with an evaluation.

This mini e-module is an overview of the Least Restrictive Environment also known as LRE provision of IDEA.  LRE frequently referred to as inclusion is the right for students to be educated to the greatest extent possible, with their typical non-disabled peers.  This mini e-module provides a great overview of LRE.  This session starts with a short survey and ends with an evaluation.
